Geo-Caching
Geo Caching or Geocaching is a sort of treasure hunt, using GPS devices and the GeoCaching.com website.
I have a very explorative type personality, like gadgets & hiking, so GeoCaching is perfect for me. If you already have a GPS device, or a device with a GPS radio in it, the hard part of starting is done! Using the information on GeoCaching.com (you will need a free account) about Cache Sites around your area, you can load up Co-Ordinates to your GPS, print out Cache Site info and get out looking!
I use my PDA to do everything I need for GeoCaching. It has a very accurate, high speed GPS radio built right in, and using the software Geo-Scout, I can do all my caching trips “paperless” as they say. I plan on doing a nice review about GeoScout in my blog soon. Its a GREAT program for GeoCachers.
